RABBIT is a series of ten wall panels made from the outer and inner elements of a hand made toy rabbit that I owned as a child, and deconstructed out of curiosity.

It was an interesting and memorable experience, as the moment the initial threads were unpicked there was an overwhelming smell of perfume. The next surprise was the quantity and variety of fabric elements that had been inside for decades. The toy had been really well made with great care and thought.

It was also an experience in dealing with sentimentality, it still exists but not in the form I knew as a child. The memory, materiality and colours of the fabric are all still in one area, just in a different form.
